Common Questions

What can I expect on my first visit?

Whether you have been to a chiropractor before or not, we do need to establish an idea of your overall health and health history. This history and examination will take a little longer than your return visits, but filling out your new patient paper work at home beforehand will cut down on in-office time! Our first visit will include examination and history taking, education and at home recommendations, as well as your first adjustment if no further testing is required. Adjustments are gentle and we always take in to account your preferences and comfort levels with considering treatment plans. We welcome patients of all ages, and even have a kids play area to keep the entertained if waiting for parents or for their turn at an adjustment.

Do I need a doctor’s referral?

No referral needed for chiropractic care in the state of ND! In some, rare cases, we may have to refer OUT to get you the best care possible. This may include referral to your primary care physician, for xrays or MRI, or even PT or acupuncture.

What types of health insurance do you accept?

Health insurance is ever-changing, and we've made an effort at Bright Life Family Chiropractic, to not let insurance coverage dictate our quality of care. We will always recommend the type and quantity of treatment that will get you better faster and KEEP you well. That said, we will are happy to work with your company, either in or out of network, as long as we can. It is a good idea to call your insurance provider to discuss plan coverage before your first visit, and bring your information with you. Currently, we are  in-network with Sanford Health Plan, BCBS, and Medicare. We are happy to file out-of-network if you have any other plan or want to use your HSA or FLEX accounts as well.

For those of you without a health care coverage for chiropractic care, we are happy to provide affordable cash plan options!
